Post #1, the Decision

I'm in! I've decided to go back to visit my brothers and sisters in Monterrey Mexico. I can't wait! Last year was a life changing experience... the chance to hang out with a group of people so focused on the great commission. These people have given up so much to be missionaries in a foreign country... I can’t help but be inspired!

I'm so excited but I'm also a little nervous about raising support again. In 2002 I raised enough money to come on staff at CedarCreek as an intern but that seems like so long ago. I really wish I had the money to just pay for my trip but that just isn't an option. Working at a church is incredible... but the money isn't!

I hope that when I send these letters out, people realize that I am not just begging for money... I am honestly looking to build a team who will pray for me, send me encouragement, and invest in me. I am looking for a group of people who are willing to serve God's church alongside of me. Maybe they won't be working on homes, painting, and evangelizing... but they will have made it all possible!

It will also be cool to give a daily update here when I am in Monterrey so everyone back home can get a sense of what God is doing. Good stuff.

Well, time to send out some letters!
